I recently received the news from my dentist that I needed a root canal and a crown. She said that without the crown, the tooth would not be strong enough after the root canal. She told me my crown options, and I was surprised that there were so many choices. I was conflicted on which was right for my tooth, so I asked her advice. She told me that many patients had a hard time making this decision, so she was happy to offer a suggestion. She told me that for my molar, the ceramic-fuse-to-metal was a great option, as it was sturdy but still looked like a real tooth. I am very happy with my result. I created this blog to encourage others to ask their dentist whenever they are confused by their options, as they have the experience to tell you what will likely be best.
